The Alabama Elks Youth Camp property was purchased in November, 1999 by the Alabama Elks Association. Although the facilities and property were in poor condition, it was viewed as an opportunity to make improvements that would lead to the camp as we know it today. The youth of Alabama were always in focus as a quarter of a million dollars was invested in new cabin construction, major remodeling of existing structures, rebuilding the camp lake, and improvements to the property took place.
The Elks of Alabama are very proud of the facilities in place today and are continually working on ways to make it better. We believe the youth of Alabama are our future and if we can help them have the character building “Camp Experience”, we know they will become better adults.
